Today is the last day for Netflix’s Geeked Week!
If you never heard of this ever before you’re not alone since this is the first time Netflix is doing this type of event. Netflix’s Geeked Week is a virtual fan-facing event that reveals first looks into movies, and series that is upcoming this summer.
They named quite a few new anime series and films they are releasing on Thursday.
Although, we’re not surprised since in February 2020 Netflix announced that they will be partnering with several anime/manga creators. Here are a few projects that were announced yesterday:
Mobile Suit Gundam:Hathaway Anime Film
Netflix stated that they will begin streaming the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack, Mobile Suit Gundam I, Mobile Suit Gundamn II: Soliders of Sorrow, and Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space films on July 1st.

Shaman King

An anime film that is an adaption of an original story by Yasuo Ohtagaki (Moonlight Mile, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt). Makoto Honda is directing while 5 Inc. will design, animate, and provide character designs. For the synopsis Netflix describes this story as follows..
“On a cold planet of ice and snow, mysterious creatures suddenly have appeared from the dark underground and have begun to attack the inhabitants. Can humanity survive the terror lurking beyond the horizon?”
